The Birth Company is a leading private pregnancy, gynaecology and birth clinic located in Harley Street, London. There is complete care available for pregnant women and support for women who have recently given birth.
The clinic is equipped with the latest scanning devices and provides modern treatments and techniques, to ensure the stages of pregnancy as comfortable and stress-free as possible and mothers and babies receive the highest standards of care. The Birth Company delivers more than 150 babies per year at the Portland Hospital and provides care for more than 2,000 women each year.
There is available a comprehensive range of pregnancy, gynaecological and complimentary therapies available, including:

- Antenatal care (this includes women who are planning to have their baby in another hospital)
- Gynaecological services, including screening services, treatment for gynaecological problems and fertility health checks
- Cervical suture
- Complimentary therapies, including reflexology, acupuncture, osteopathy, pregnancy massage and psychotherapy
- Ultrasound scanning (including 3D and 4D scanning)
The Birth Company team is led by Dr Donald Gibb who does not provide treatment in any other hospital or clinic. Dr Gibb graduated from medical school at the University of Edinburgh before choosing to specialise in obstetrics and gynaecology. Dr Gibb worked at King’s College London for 15 years before becoming Head of Women’s Services, and he took up the position of Head of Teaching in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1995.
Dr Gibb resigned from National Health Service work in 1999 and expanded his private practice, establishing The Birth Company in 2000 and helping it grow from then on.
